Global Colours Binder & Sealer Medium 1 Litre

Global Colours Professional Binder & Sealer Medium is a concentrated emulsion which increases flexibility, gloss and flow effects when added to Acrylic colours. Ideal for mixed media, glazing, sealing, bonding and collage work where transparency and flexibility is required. It is an excellent medium for the preparation of both rigid and flexible supports, creating a surface which is smooth and easy to paint.

As a sizing coating on canvas, Binder Medium will effectively seal the surface, preventing the absorption of paint and moisture into the fabric. Use Binder Medium on raw canvas to prevent oil absorption from oil paints into the canvas. May be followed with Gesso to prime the surface.

Binder medium may be tinted with Global Colours Acrylics to create brilliant translucent paint with increased gloss and fluidity which is thick and easy to manipulate. Binder medium will not discolour the paint. For a more transparent glaze, increase the proportion of medium to colour. Ideal as an extender for airbrushing. May be mixed 1:1 ratio with water to revive unfinished artworks that have discoloured. For a more glossy finish, use Gloss Medium & Varnish.

Binder & Sealer Medium can be diluted with water to create a flexible finishing varnish or tinted with Global Colours Acrylics to create brilliant translucent glazes. For even greater flexibility, thin with water. Can be mixed in 1:1 ratio with acrylics paints to create a lustrous transluscent paint with Allow up to 24 hours to recoat. Do not use below 12°C ambient temperature. This product has adhesive properties so protective clothing should be worn. Clean all equipment with soap and water without delay.

This medium is compatible with all Global Colours Acrylics and Mediums, working together to create a highly versatile system.
