Northcote Shino Style stoneware glaze can be unpredictable with finish results. How thick or thin you apply the glaze and how many layers are applied with affect the outcome. Normally the less layers the more orange you with get and 3-4 layers will result in more white with orange speckles.

Brush-on Stoneware glazes, ready to use. Mix of Opaque gloss/Satin/Matte finish. Firing range 1280ºC - 1300ºC.
Glazes cannot be combined (stirred together) with any assurance that the resulting mixture will be (1) a proper glaze and (2) the colour you thought you would create. Each glaze is a different chemical formula and blending does not necessarily work.
Product and technical information:
- Stir thoroughly before use
- Apply 3-4 coats of glaze using a soft brush
- 2 Coats is sufficient for a clear glaze
- Allow glaze to dry in between coats
- Fire glaze to recommended temperature – Stoneware firing range 1280oC to 1300oC
- Test all product to ensure suitability for your requirements as glaze application, clay type, firing atmosphere and glaze flow can vary greatly.
